Welcome to Ellesmere Port Music Society Website.
We hope you enjoy looking around our website, whether you are a concert-goer or a prospective new member.
Based in Ellesmere Port, we are a four-part choir of approximately 110 singers who come from various parts of Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral. The Society has a strong reputation in the area, is stable, has a friendly atmosphere with a regular social / fund-raising programme, enjoys the support of a loyal committee and performs a wide choral repertoire from Monteverdi to Karl Jenkins.
There are three major concerts per year in
November, December and April, each one performed in the Ellesmere Port Civic Hall. For the November and April events we engage a fully professional symphony orchestra or Baroque ensemble. Soloists are of international calibre.
The choir always welcomes new members, both beginners and experienced singers. If you would like to join us, find out more or just try things out for a couple of rehearsals, please contact the Chairman, David Prince on 01244 335841 or
At present there are no individual auditions, hence there is a range of musical ability within the membership, but an enthusiastic and professional response is guaranteed.
The society is a registered charity and a member of Making Music.
